Many people describe their disaster pools as having either a mustard, green, or black algae. Algae gets in your pool water from lots of sources including the dew in the air, water hoses, rain storms, and more. Most of the time you just cannot see the algae, as at this point in its lifecycle the algae is invisible. However, certain conditions will allow it expand and you will then first notice it as the pool water becomes slightly cloudy.
