Can We Have Alcohol by the Swimming Pool?

Q: It is mid day, maybe you can answer this later in the afternoon. I am having an adult swimming pool party on Saturday. There is going to be a lot of music, food, and drinks. Can we have alcohol by the pool? This is important to me.

Yes, I can certainly understand. Alcohol and swimming do not mix. In these types of situations, everybody should pay attention to the swimming pool and its surroundings to prevent falling in by accident. Be aware of anybody that could be severely indisposed from alcohol consumption and keep them away from the pool edge. It is just common sense, as is turning on your pool light if the party occurs at nighttime.
