Is Chlorine a Green Way of Sanitizing the Swimming Pool Water?
Question?
Q: You are very kind to help. Going green is very much in fashion these days. My swimming pool is chlorine based and the question came up if other products are a better choice. Is chlorine a green way of maintaining a pool? I may be just a bit off.
You are very kind to help.

A:
Perfectly said. Chlorine is a byproduct of the oceans chemistry, is a natural process of electrolysis that converts salt water into chlorine. Sunlight turns chlorine back into salt, leaving no wasteful materials that affect the environment. From this perspective, chlorine is a green way to treat or sanitize swimming pool water.

Yeah, yeah, have a good day.
