Can I Take Care of My Backyard Swimming Pool with Just Chlorine Tablets?
Question?
Q: Sure, another question from me. I have been maintaining my own swimming pool for the longest time and never had a problem. All I use is those stabilized chlorine tablets. Lately I noticed some yellow algae along the swimming pool walls. Are chlorine tablets enough to keep proper water balance? Let us call that a wrap.
Oh my, free questions. Thanks so much.

Answer!
A:
Awesome, as we love tough questions. For proper water balance, is a good precaution to test the water before using any chemicals at all. The stabilized chlorine tablets contain cyanuric acid. If you are unfamiliar, cyanuric acid is dangerous and it will build up in the water to the point of making it not healthy for swimmers. Do not forget to test for pH, alkalinity, and, calcium also.
Great, that should wrap it up.
Cordially, at your service.
