Are In-Ground Fiberglass Pools a Good Selection?
Question?
Q: Hello, I was hoping to get in touch with you. Just moved into town and I am planning on getting a large swimming pool built. I have been spending a lot of time at Barnes and Noble reading up, but there seems to be a lot of disagreement on fiberglass pools. What do you think? Let me know if I have explained my self correctly.
Bye bye now.

A:
Glad to be of help. I understand that getting a swimming pool is a big decision, and there are many details to take into account. First of all, price.
You probably already know that fiberglass pools are less expensive than concrete pools, but they also are less durable. If not cared for properly, this type of finish can be easily damaged. The finish of fiberglass pools tends not to hold up as well. This is demonstrated by rubbing your hand on the pool wall. Your finger tips will be white from the contact.
As for pool maintenance, one thing you have to worry about constantly with fiberglass pools is the acidity level in the water. Also they have a tendency to bloom with yellow algae more frequently than the concrete built. Most people prefer concrete pools over fiberglass, due to the durability of the investment. That is it.
Enjoy your day. Take Care.
