Q: Hi guys very good day to you. I have moved into my new home just as the wintertime arrives. The swimming pool has no heating system yet. A friend told me that with a pool cover I could catch some of the heat in the daytime and prevent it from escaping at night. How can I heat my swimming pool efficiently? The ball is in your court.

Hello back, and thanks for stopping by. The best combination for efficiently heating a swimming pool is to install a combo system. This consists of a solar panel and a heat pump pool heater tied together automatically into your pool pump circulating system. The solar panels will work great on sunny days and the heat pump gives you the boost when you need it. The heat pump draws heat from the air instead of producing heat electrically. Off we go.
