Do You Add More Chlorine in Case of a Hurricane?
Question?
Q: Perhaps an easy one. I am new to the state of Florida. This has been my first summer, and the weather here can be turbulent. I would like to find out a little bit more about pool care, with the pending hurricane on the way. Do you add more chlorine in case of a hurricane? Just trying to get a handle on it.
Toodles, thanks man.

A:
Super for you to stop in. You are wise to prepare your pool for the upcoming hurricane. Your pool care professional surely does add chlorine preventively, as a just in case insurance. If you maintain your own pool, is probably better to wait. If it rains a lot, your previously added chlorine will dilute. If it does not, you would had wasted chemicals and money. The economical way is to wait.
Keep pushing.
Respectively yours, thanks for contacting us.
