Ask Your Pool Question?

What Would Be the Proper Temperature to Heat My Pool?

Question?

Q: Been looking around for some assistance. We are having a pool party and just not sure at what temperature I should heat my swimming pool to accommodate my pool guests. It should also be pointed out that this is a group of third grade children. Yes, it is an after school activity. On that note, let me wrap it up.

Keep up the good work.

Answer!

A: Nice summary, thanks. That is a big topic of discussion for many of my customers, as well as people in my family. Everybody has his or her favorite temperature, which can vary greatly based upon the climate that you were born in. Additionally, the seasons or activities performed just prior to entering the pool can affect your preferences. For example, if you just mowed the lawn on a hot day, a cooler pool would be nice. In Florida, 83 to 86 degrees seams to be the preferred swimming pool water temperature range. Probably the best approach to take.

Take care, have a great rest of the day.
