How Important Is the Timer To The Swimming Pool?

Q: Hi all. We would like to ask you a question about our new pool. I really like it, for swimming and as a showpiece. However, I just noticed that my timer stop working, and was not sure how important the pool timer is to the pool itself? I did what I could to explain myself.

Ok, we got it. The pool timer is very important and a key element to proper pool water balancing. One of the consistent themes and customer questions is cost effective pool maintenance. Here in Cape Coral, Sanibel and Captiva I recommend to most of my residential pool home owners is to run their system between 8 and 10 hours a day during the summer season, and 6 to 8 in the winter. Unless you are going to manually flip a switch daily, you are better off replacing your pool timer. In short, it needs to be fixed.
Keep all parts of your pool running nicely, this will keep your overall pool maintenance costs down. A little knowledge helps.
