Q: Hello to You. During the hurricane, we lost power for nearly two weeks. My swimming pool had to be drained and acid washed. Now my pump is broken and I cannot quite afford to fix it just yet. What can I do? You may have some experience here.

Ahoy-Hoy! Many of us had to deal with issues with the hurricane. It was horrible for everyone from pool owner to service personnel. Brush your pool every day. This will also help to improve water circulation. Dump half a jug of chlorine in (1 and a quarter gallons) two or three times a week to kill bacteria. The pool won't stay clear since is not filtering. Trying hard to keep it blue will save you a lot of money in the end. Just trying to help.
