How to Maintain a Swimming Pool Salt System?
Question?
Q: Here I am with another question. A salt system was recently installed as part of my swimming pool equipment. It comes with a manual but it seams to be a little complicated. Would you be so kind to point out to me the key elements to salt system maintenance. Yes, that is it.
This is great! Thank You for this great list.

Answer!
A:
Let me think of the best way to start. Swimming pool salt systems work by producing chlorine using common salt. It uses electrolysis to break down sodium chloride and recycles it back into salt again. Most salt systems made today have a self-cleaning feature. Every so often, the cell needs to be open and cleaned with a muriatic acid solution diluted at 50 percent. Try to keep your pH balanced within proper range to avoid frequent cleaning cycles. It is recommended to use treated water to fill the pool up to avoid staining. Well water is full of metals. If you have no other choice, buy a metal sequester solution at your local swimming pool supplier and add it into the water. A good one to consider.
Never ever give up, bye now.
