How many Hours are Needed to Filter the Pool Water?
Question?
Q: Greeting to all. I have a 6,000-gallon pool with a 1.5 hp pump and a filter bigger than the one the pool size need. My pool is sitting entirely under the sun. How many hours do I really have to filter the water? And that is all I have got for you.
Thanks a bunch.

Cheers, nice to hear from you. The more filtering matter, the better. It is obvious that your system has more than it needs to operate properly. The change in the seasons and the weather are key points that affect the running time of your pool system.
For example, in the wintertime, the water should circulate for approximately 6 hours a day. In the summer, this time should go up to 8 hours a day.
What is important is the constant flow of water. The movement actually prevents the algae from getting a hold on the walls, and from there to grow out of control. That should be the skinny on this.
