Having Trouble with Yellow Algae in My Swimming Pool, How Can I Improve?
Question?
Q: I am looking for help. I have been having some trouble with yellow algae in my residential swimming pool. I continue using chlorine but have not managed to get it under control. It seams to be coming back all the time. It has become a costly problem for us. Can you help me kill the yellow algae? Mostly, I believe that is it.
Awesome section, keep them coming.

A:
Ah, a good question for our community. Besides the normal maintenance routines for your swimming pool, such as cleaning your filter and making sure it is in good working condition, you can try a different product. It comes packaged under many names, like Yellow Treat, Yellow Killer, Yellow Klear, etc. The main ingredient is Sodium Bromide. This chemical compound combined with chlorine becomes a potent yellow algae killer. Do not forget to super chlorinate prior to application. We are just trying to help.
Good luck, and have fun.
