Q: Good morning answer person. Some oil for your question machine. After I fill my pool, I put half of cup of shock and the water turns yellow. I also put the chlorine floater and now the water is yellow -greenish. What can I do to make the water clear? In final, there is our specific issue.

Hey there, thanks for your visit. Time to get to it. We need more information on the chemical readings. For example, green color water can be copper or algae. Make sure the pH is between 7.2 and 7.6. In addition, the Alkalinity has to be higher than 80 parts per million. Half a cup of shock (Chlorine base) is not enough for an algae problem. Have the swimming pool water tested for metals. If there is no metal in the test results, then shock the pool with more than two and a half gallons of liquid chlorine and let it run continuously until clear.
